Doug Johnston | Identity 2013

When designer, artist and friend Doug Johnston's rope works started taking off, he needed a strong visual identity to help grow his business. The branding was to be kept at a minimum to let the artwork and designs speak, and to keep costs low. The solution was an impactful logo with playful letters, that alludes to the spontaneity and curiosity in Doug's creative process.

Using only black ink, Futura Medium or Bold, and a strict upper left placement of the logo, the identity has a simple and clear voice.
